What makes men attractive?

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

heather-stottAngela admits she’s not as clever as she thought, and she didn’t like her recent TV appearance.

She was in conversation this morning with BBC Radio Manchester’s Heather Stott.

She told how “brave” pals texted their full and frank comments  about her hair, nails, make-up etc as Channel 4 broadcast it’s Cutting Edge programme.

But, more importantly Heather wanted to know, did she agree that certain people have the “sex factor”?

Snapshots from My Daughter Grew Another Head . . .

epstein-cutting-edge5epstein-cutting-edge9epstein-cutting-edge3epstein-cutting-edge7epstein-cutting-edge4epstein-cutting-edge2The many faces of Angela as she appears on that programme we keep going on about (available here if you missed it). Much better than Tuesday’s attempt by the BBC to do exactly the same thing, and not just because it had SellThatStory.  We didn’t mind the gently mocking narrator and the arty camerawork.  We felt it was an honest account. And the fact that the daughter who grew another head - who gave the programme its title – barely appeared was both clever and ironic.  After all, as the programme made clear, sometimes the headline is stronger than the story.

My daughter grew another head and other true life stories

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Bizarre title, bizarre programme.

But if you’ve always wanted to know about the first man in the UK to have a bum implant, or why a jailed cannibal insists on sending recipes to his friend, who’s a chef, then this is the week’s must-not-miss TV for you.

Find out why it was that Henry was prepared to sepend £7,000 on a nicer bottom. And why a mother thinks her baby looks like a snail. And how a woman survived an attack by a python – and fought it off with a cheese grater.

As for the daughter who grew another head, you’ll have to watch the programme to find out.

Cutting Edge, 9pm Thursday, Channel 4.

SellThatStory appears in The Independent today.  They’re looking at the appeal of true life stories, ahead of Thursday’s Channel 4 Cutting Edge programme. Angela is featured in the programme, talking about SellThatStory came about, how we operate, what sort of stories we cover, and how. Click here to read the whole article.  An estimated 7 million people a week read real-life mags, and there’s a constant thirst for amazing stories.

If you’re wondering “How do I sell my story?” the answer’s just a click away.
